Time Warner and CBS may soon be launching a streaming version of their joint network, the CW. Currently the companies co own a sister streaming service called the CW Seed. CW Seed currently features some CW back catalog as well as new series.
Time Warner has long threatened to withhold content from Netflix and Hulu once the current deal is up as they believed the current deal lowered their live ratings and the compensation undervalued the content.
According to an article by Bloomberg the new network would look to launch after the current deals with Tribune stations, Netflix, and Hulu expire.
The service reportedly would cost between $2 and $4. It would offer a live as it airs stream, plus an on demand catalog of past episodes.
